How to Apply Red Liquid Lipstick

Here's a quick tutorial on how I apply red liquid lipstick. I personally love red lipsticks and my favorite are the blue-toned red lipsticks. In the tutorial I used Kylie Lip Kit in Mary Jo K, which is described as True Blue Red but there are other lipsticks that are very similar to it:

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette Available for Canada

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette has sold out so fast for US but it hasn't released in Canada until now. It's now available on Canadian Sephora website and will be in stores on April 15th. It retails for $59 CAD ($49 USD) and comes with 18 shades. UPDATE: It's already sold out for Canada.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara is available online for US & Canada. It retails for $30 CAD ($23 USD). I'd personally wait for Sephora Spring Sale to buy this because it's less likely to be sold out by then. Click here for more details on the sale.

 

Kat Von D Shade + Light Color Contour Mini Quads

Kat Von D Shade + Light Color Contour Mini Palettes will be available at Sephora US and Sephora Canada online on March 29th but these are already available at some Sephora stores. Each palette retails for $26 USD and comes with 4 matte shades.

There are four shades to choose from:

1. Smoke - Matte Cool Grays
2. Sage - Matte Greens
3. Rust - Matte Brownish Reds
4. Plum - Matte Purples

I feel like this shade doesn't really complement my skin tone, so I rarely wear it but this would look really nice on someone with a lighter complexion.

Bright Fuchsia (Retro Matte)

I absolutely love this one!! It really complements my skin tone and I feel like it's one of those shades that looks good on everyone.

Kylie Cosmetics Kourt K Launch

The new purple shade, Kourt K, launches March 25th at 6 PM EST (3 PM PST). However, the other shades will be restocked on Monday, March 28th and all 8 shades will be restocked at 7 PM EST (4PM EST).

I'd love to get this one but I just don't see myself paying shipping for one shade. I think I will wait till she launches more lip kits to order again.

She also launched shade 22 earlier this month.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Singles

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles are now available at Sephora and Ulta. These can also be purchased on ABH website but I prefer ordering from Sephora since I live in Canada and I don't want to pay shipping/duty.

Price

Each eye shadow retails for $12 USD ($16 CAD) and contains 0.059 oz (1.7g) of product (slightly more than MAC eyeshadows that contain 0.5 oz). Price of MAC eyeshadows has dropped. MAC individual eyeshadow pan now retails for $6 USD ($8 CAD) and contains 0.5 oz of product, so you get a bit less product and pay half the price of ABH eyeshadow. 

Palette of 4 eyeshadows retails for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow) and $52 CAD ($13 CAD per eyeshadow).

Palette of 8 eyeshadows is available on ABH website for $80 ($8.75 each).

Overall Impression

I love ABH eyeshadows! I do own a couple of palettes, so that's why I have all these shades. I would personally recommend getting limited-edition palettes. Some of the shades in those palettes may not be permanent but I find they are much better value. However, there are definitely few shades that I'm willing to buy in singles. Here are my top 10 favorite shades:

1. Fresh (perfect matte brow bone shade)
2. Bengal (transition)
3. Morocco (crease) 
4. Sienna (my favorite for the crease or to smoke lower lash)
5. Glisten (perfect for highlight or eyelids)
6. Wine (favorite eyelid shade)
7. Sangria (beautiful cranberry shade that I like using on my crease)
8. Chocolate (favorite shade for outer V)
9. Deep Plum (beautiful deep purple shade for outer V)
10. Noir (blackest eyeshadow I own; love using it to set eyeliner)
