Beauty Haul September 2016

Here's a quick beauty haul. I bought a couple of new products from Sephora. I tested out all of them so I was able to give my first impressions on them including the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation Stick and Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme. For shade reference, I'm NC40-NC42 in Mac.

Sephora Beauty Insider Program

Sephora offers a rewards program that allows you to earn points and redeem them generally for deluxe products (U.S. and Canada only). It also gives you other benefits: birthday gifts, sales, holiday cards, etc. 
There are 3 tiers:
    • Beauty Insider: No minimum purchases required 
    • VIB: Minimum of $350 CAD worth of purchases in a calendar year (January to December) 
    • VIB Rouge: Minimum of $1,000 CAD worth of purchases in a calendar year (January to December)

I've had this for years and I honestly have no complaints. It's free and you get so many advantages:

They usually send out Holiday Cards each year that can be redeemed in-stores or online. Beauty Insiders can redeem them and get $15 off their total purchase (minimum purchase of $50 required). VIB members get $20 and VIB Rouge Members get $25.

How to unlock VIB status?
You need to spend at least $350 CAD in a calendar year (January to December). This doesn't include taxes, shipping or gift cards. Also, annual re-qualification is required. So you have to spend $350 the following year to be able to keep the status.

When you first unlock the VIB status, you get a welcome kit that includes the following items:
  • VIB member card (this replaces your beauty insider card) 
  • 10% off on your next purchase (In store only)
  • Complimentary makeup (45-minute makeover)
