L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover Foundation Swatches, Demo, Wear Test and Review

L'Oreal Total Cover Foundation is new full coverage weightless feel foundation that's claimed to last up to 24 hours with a lightweight and natural finish. It's claimed to instantly cover dark spots, blemishes, scars and hyperpigmentation for a flaweless complexion. It's formulated with highload pigments for full coverage and enriched with Alliagel.
It retails for around $10.99 USD - $12.99 USD ($19.99 CAD). It's currently available at Amazon ($10.99 USD) and Ulta ($12.99) and for Canada, it's also available on Amazon for $19.99 CAD. L'Oreal sent me a lovely PR package with all the foundations and two of their concealer/corrector palettes and foundation blender $7.99 USD.
Check out my video for demo, review and comparison with L'Oreal Pro-Matte foundation:

Packaging
It comes in a squeeze tube and contains 1 fl oz (30 mL) of product.

I prefer this packaging more than L'Oreal Pro-Matte foundation because it looks more sleek and takes up less space.

Shades
There are 12 shades to choose from. Click here for my blog post with conversion to MAC shades and videos for most of the shades by other YouTubers.
  1. 301 Classic Ivory
  2. 302 Creamy Natural
  3. 303 Nude Beige
  4. 304 Natural Buff
  5. 305 Natural Beige
  6. 306 Buff Beige
  7. 307 Sand Beige
  8. 308 Sun Beige
  9. 309 Caramel Beige
  10. 310 Classic Tan
  11. 311 Creme Cafe
  12. 312 Cocoa

I wish there were more shades because I seem to be in between shades 308 and 309. I noticed that with the other L'Oreal Infallible foundations too.
As for L'Oreal Pro-Matte Foundation, I have the shade 107 Fresh Beige and that's a bit warmer but it still looks good. Here's how each of the foundation looks. The shade 309 Caramel Beige is same as L'Oreal Pro-Matte Foundation 107 Fresh Beige.
Shade ReferenceI don't own any MAC foundation but I should be around NC40-NC42 in MAC. Click here for full list of foundations that I wear (I do update it regularly).
Here are some of the foundations that match me well:

    Review
    • Finish: Demi-Matte
    • Coverage: Medium (buildable)
    • Wear time: I tested it out for about 7.5 hours and it looks very good throughout the day. Since I have combination skin (oily t-zone), I did notice my skin looked oily by the end of the day but it's not as bad as some other drugstore foundations I've used.

    Product Claims
    • Natural finish: I don't agree with this claim. I find that it has a demi-matte finish
    • Lasts up to 24 hours: I haven't tested it out for that long but I've tested it out for 7.5 hours and it looked great by the end of night. I was a little oily by the end of the day but it wasn't that bad.
      Pros
      • Long wearing
      • Flawless finish
      • Lightweight
      • Photographs well

      Cons
      • Slightly clings on dry patches: It does slightly cling on my dry patches but it's not as bad at L'Oreal Pro Matte Foundation.
      • Lack of shades: I really wish there were more shades. I'm in between 308 and 309.
      ____________
L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte vs Total Cover Foundation
Both foundations have demi-matte finish despite the claim of L'Oreal Total Cover Foundation having natural finish. Total Cover is thicker in consistency and has a mousse-like texture and I noticed that Pro-Matte clings on dry patches a bit more than Total Cover Foundation.

Photo taken after an hour of application
Here's a photo I took after 7.5 hours. I wore L'Oreal Total Cover Foundation 309 Caramel Beige on half of my face (left in photo) and L'Oreal Pro Matte Foundation 107 Fresh Beige on the other half (right in photo). I find both of the foundations lasted well throughout the day but looking at the photo now, L'Oreal Total Cover side looks slightly more oily.

I applied L'Oreal Total Cover on left and L'Oreal Pro-Matte on right
